Tami Erin (born Tamara Erin Klicman on July 8, 1974) is an American actress and model from Wheaton, Illinois. Erin began acting and modeling at 8 years old after becoming an Elite Model with Elite Model Management one of the world's biggest modeling agencies. After signing with Elite Model Management she booked many national and international modeling campaigns and commercials. She is best known for her portrayal of Pippi Longstocking in the Columbia Pictures film The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking. Tami Erin was chosen for the title role of "Pippi Longstocking" out of over 8,000 young actresses after a worldwide search by Casting Director Garrison True. Garrison True auditioned young actresses in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Canada and London, England. Tami Erin is featured in the Trivial Pursuit board game and Trivial Pursuit Millenium Edition about having won the role of "Pippi Longstocking" out of over 8,000 hopefuls. The films Director Ken Annakin an Academy Award Nominee, Disney Legend and Disney Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is quoted in the press saying "Tami radiates sunshine. When she smiles everyone is happy. She's perfect and she is Pippi Longstocking". In conjunction with the release of the "The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking" in 13 languages Erin signed endorsement deals with Aqua Fresh Toothpaste and Hostess as well as with Determined Toys the manufacturers of the "Tami Erin Pippi Longstocking Doll" in 4 sizes. The Royal World Premiere was hosted by the Princess of Japan, Emperor Hirohito’s granddaughter Princess Nori in Tokyo, Japan. Additional Royal Movie Premieres were hosted in Stockholm, Sweden by King Karl, Queen Silvia and author Astrid Lindgren. Domestically Erin did a 14 city publicity tour across the country. The film has since been re-released by Columbia Pictures on DVD in 2000 and in 2007 with Danny Devito and Rhea Pearlman's movie "Matilda as a double feature.

She served as a UNICEF Ambassador, an exclusive United Nations appointment. Working with UNICEF, she spoke internationally on behalf of the United Nations and at the United Nations on World Children's Day to the delegates of over 100 countries.

Most recently Erin appeared in the Cartoon Network by Warner Bros. "Tim & Eric’s Awesome Christmas Special" movie along side Zach Galafanakis (The Hangover) as well as John C Reilly (Chicago). Erin appeared in the Dreamscape Cinema film Disconnect alongside Amanda Troop and Steffany Huckaby.

Tami Erin has appeared in hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles and personal interviews worldwide including Vogue, Elle, Glamour, People, Seventeen, Teen, Womans Day, National Geographic World, Variety, Premiere, Bravo, The Hollywood Reporter, Tiger Beat and USA Today among many others. Career highlights include appearances on Good Morning America, The Today Show, and Entertainment Tonight. Her acting coaches have included Jeff Corey, acting coach to Jack Nicholson and Dustin Hoffman, as well as with Molly McCarthy of Lee Strasberg's Actors Studio, NYC. Tami Erin recently revealed on the More4 show "Babes In Hollywood." that she suffers from delusions of grandeur.
